Supporting Creativity and Culture: After-School Music and Arts Programs in Georgia

Assyrian Family Aid had the privilege of supporting after-school music and arts programs for Assyrian youth in Georgia, as well as Assyrian language classes. These programs provide young students with meaningful opportunities to explore creativity while strengthening their connection to language, culture, and community.

In Assyrian communities across Tbilisi, Rustavi, and the village of, access to extracurricular enrichment programs is limited. Through our support, students were able to participate in structured art and music activities that foster self-expression, confidence, and cultural pride. These programs created safe and welcoming spaces where children could gather after school, develop new skills, and build lasting friendships.

Beyond creative development, after-school programs provide stability and mentorship. They offer positive environments that encourage discipline, teamwork, and leadership while keeping youth engaged in meaningful activities.

Assyrian Family Aid remains committed to supporting initiatives that empower young people and invest in long-term community sustainability. By strengthening educational and cultural programming in Georgia, we are helping nurture a generation that is proud of its identity and equipped with the confidence to thrive.

We are grateful to the local educators and community leaders who continue to dedicate their time and energy to these programs. Together, we are building opportunity, preserving heritage, and shaping a brighter future for Assyrian youth.
