Our History:
2020
Assyrian Family Aid founded in 2020 as a small group with the goal of helping families within the Assyrian community.
Our first initiative began during the COVID-19 pandemic, when we stepped in to support the Assyrian community in Armenia. During the war between Azerbaijan and Armenia, we provided critical aid to families affected by the conflict. This included funding medical treatments such as cancer care and life-saving surgeries, as well as supporting nine Assyrian families who lost their fathers in the war. We covered all their living expenses to help them rebuild their lives.
2022
2021
We contributed to the renovation of local schools by funding new materials and improving physics, chemistry, biology, and art programs. These efforts ensured that students had access to quality education, helping to secure a better future for the next generation.
We extended our efforts to the Assyrian Chaldean community in Georgia, where we focused on urgent medical needs. We covered dental treatments for 150 individuals, a number that continues to grow as we provide ongoing funding. The water supply in this region has severely impacted oral health, making dental care inaccessible and unaffordable for many. Our support has allowed these families to receive essential treatment, restoring their health and well-being.
2023
Assyrian Family Aid was officially registered as a nonprofit organization in 2024.
