Leadership that aims to make an impact.
Ator Daniel Abraham
Co-Founder, Vice President
Ator Daniel Abraham grew up in Germany to an Assyrian immigrant family from Iraq and Syria. Raised in a conservative Christian household as the only daughter among four children, she developed love for children and initially pursued a career as a teacher. Her journey took her through various roles before moving to the United States in her late twenties.
In the U.S., Ator returned to her passion for teaching, this time instructing students in the German language. She later married a loving, hardworking, and successful physical therapist, and together they were blessed with three beautiful daughters. Ator remains deeply connected to her Assyrian heritage, actively volunteering at her local church, St. Mary’s Assyrian Church of the East, where she teaches the Assyrian language.
Five years ago, Ator co-founded Assyrian Family Aid, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping those in need. Driven by her belief that every human being has a purpose and duty on this earth, Ator's mission is to reach out and lend a helping hand, especially to her Assyrian people abroad. Her unwavering commitment to making a difference continues to inspire those around her.
Reflecting on her journey, Ator believes that every challenge she faced has shaped her into the person she is today. Her experiences have taught her the importance of resilience, compassion, and the power of community.
In her free time, Ator loves to travel and dreams of visiting her beloved homeland, Nineveh (Iraq), and the Holy Land, Israel. She also cherishes spending quality time with her family and friends, which brings her immense joy and fulfillment. Ator is fluent in four languages, which enhances her ability to connect with diverse communities and cultures.
Ator is committed to continuing her work with Assyrian Family Aid and looks forward to expanding the organization's reach to help even more people in need. Ator invites everyone to join her in her mission to make a difference. Whether through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word, every effort counts in building a better future for all.
Ator’s favorite quotes:

“I may not have a country with boundaries, but my country is in me. My country is in my soul and in my heart. I am Assyria.”
